Briahna Willis was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, and She did not start playing competitive golf until the age of 14. Before attending college, she was given the opportunity to work in the outside service department as well as golf maintenance at The Alotian Club (#38 in the USA) in Roland, AR and graduated from Little Rock Christian Academy with multiple golf accomplishments. She is an author and a former HBCU D1 student-athlete at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in PGA Golf Management and a Minor in Hospitality / Tourism Management. During her four years at UMES, she completed three internships: at First Tee of Central Arkansas located in Little Rock, AR as the golf coach; at Bully Pulpit Golf Course located in Medora, ND as the golf shop intern; and at TopGolf in Cleveland, OH as the Junior Academy Lead Golf Instructor. Briahna has humbly achieved a goal of joining the ranks of being the tenth African American female who have been elected membership to the Professional Golfers’ Association of America (PGA) of America where she is Certified in the Teaching and Coaching field. She has earned the PGA American Development Model (ADM) Certification and the PGA Modern Coach Certification, and is a joining the ranks as an RGX coach. She has shadowed under multiple top 100 Golf Digest instructors and has grown cultivate her own uniquely fun and effective teaching style that challenges her students in golf as well as in life. She went on to Tulsa, OK to become the Director of Instruction of a 72-hole dual facility where she started programs to help children and adults pursue an unknown passion in golf in a fun way! She is currently teaching as an entrepreneur whether that be through life or golf, she is embodying everything she does,  The Maverick Way.
